Hello Prospective Students,
We hope you are excited to learn more about Indiana University and the Higher Education & Student Affairs (HESA) program. On behalf of everyone in HESA, we are excited to be a part of your graduate program search and look forward to meeting you. While the process is time consuming and stressful, we are confident that you will find your time at Indiana University’s Outreach recruitment event to be professionally, socially, and academically enriching. Please explore this website to find out more about the Outreach Visitation process and assistantship opportunities available to you for the coming year. In addition, don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any questions you may have.
Each year, the Student Personnel Association at Indiana University (SPA at IU) hosts two Outreach Visitation events for prospective students. The Outreach Visitation dates for 2018 are February 15-16 and February 22-23. Both Outreach visitations will begin on Thursday morning and end on Friday evening. We are flexible with accommodating your travel needs and will have housing provided on Wednesday night.. The purpose of Outreach is to not only assist you as a prospective student in securing a required assistantship, but to also orient you to the IU HESA program and Bloomington community. During your visit, you will interview for assistantships and complete a faculty interview, while also visiting with faculty, staff, and current students. Check this site frequently for updates on housing accommodations, assistantship providers, program information, and important updates and news bulletins.
We encourage you to review the SPA at IU website for the latest Outreach 2018 information. We are here to help, and we are excited to share our experiences and advice with you, and work with you to answer any questions you currently have. We wish you the very best in choosing a graduate program and we hope to see you in February 2018!
