Hello Prospective Students,
We hope you are excited to learn more about Indiana University and the Higher Education & Student Affairs (HESA) program. On behalf of everyone in HESA, we are honored to be a part of your graduate program search and look forward to meeting you. While we recognize that the process is time-consuming and stressful, we are confident that you will find your time at Indiana University’s Outreach experience to be professionally, socially, and academically enriching. Please explore this document to find out more about the Outreach Visitation process and assistantship opportunities available to you for the coming year. In addition, do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions you may have.
Each year, the Student Personnel Association at Indiana University (SPA at IU) hosts Outreach for prospective students. Outreach visitation events will begin on Thursday morning and end on Friday evening. The Outreach Visitation dates for 2020 are February 13-14. We are flexible with accommodating your travel needs and will have housing provided to you on Wednesday night. The purpose of the Outreach is to not only assist you as a prospective student in securing a required assistantship but to also orient you to IU, the HESA program, and the Bloomington community. During your visit, you will interview for assistantships, complete a faculty interview, and engage with current students, faculty, and staff. Check our site frequently for any updates on housing accommodations, assistantship providers, program information, important updates, and news bulletins.
We encourage you to review the SPA at IU website for the latest Outreach 2020 information as well as our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. We are here to assist and are excited to share our experiences and advice with you. Please feel free to contact us with any questions that you may have. We wish you the very best in choosing a graduate program and we hope to see you in February 2020. Go Hoosiers!
